Eat Here: A Taste of Laurel
On November 9, the Laurel Historical Society hosted a multi-faceted event at the Laurel Museum and the Municipal Pool Meeting Room.
At this event, the Laurel Historical Society announced the winner of the "Advertise Your Creativity Contest", Maddie Waters.
Also, due to the generous donations of Main Street Pharmacy, the Laurel Historical Society was able to host a Taste of Laurel.
Participating and generous local businesses included: Ideal Bakery, Fruit Flowers, Laurel Tavern Donuts, Mangoes Grill, Main Street Bar and Grill, Red Hot & Blue, and Toucan Taco.
Participants were able to truly taste what Laurel has to offer!

Historic New Years Celebration
On December 30, 2008 over 30 local children joined us as we celebrated a Historic New Years. Activities included learning about traditional African American, Greek, Scottish and more ways of celebrating the New Year. Attendees also played games traditional for new years and created their own noisemakers and hats.
