VOTING IN THE CITY OF LAUREL
The City of laurel holds an election every two years on the first Tuesday in November of the odd year. The Mayor serves a four-year term and the City Council serves a two-year term. Based on this, the next General Election should occur on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
Voting in City Elections
Every person registered with the Prince George's County Board of Election Supervisors and is a resident of the City of Laurel is eligible to vote in all city elections. Are you a resident? Absentee Ballot & Early Voting
You can vote by absentee ballot for city elections. Contact the Laurel Board of Election Supervisors to request an application for an absentee ballot or call the Clerk to the Board of Elections. - What is that? An election judge plays a very important role in the election process. Election judges work as a team to ensure a fair and accessible election.Election judges are trained before election day. They report about one hour before the polls open and serve until all duties are completed after the polls close.
