Jim McCeney is remembered for his commitment to our community, to Laurel's history, and to making Laurel a better place. He holds a special place for the Laurel Historical Society, where he served as President, Treasurer, and Chairman of the Board.

6th MCCENEY MARCH in-town and on-line!
Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 25 at 11 am for the in-person walk starting at the Laurel Museum.

Or, we invite you to join us virtually by walking 1 mile or a 5K at a time of your choosing between September 26 and October 1.

Jim McCeney walked 3 miles a day for many years and we encourage you to honor his memory by walking through historic Laurel, walking to a business on Main Street, walking in your neighborhood, or even on a treadmill.  Don’t forget to document your walk with pictures and share them on social media.  Be sure to tag the Laurel Historical Society (@LaurelHistory) and use #McCeneyMarch2021.

Proceeds of the March will go towards educational programs at the Laurel Historical Society and scholarships for Laurel-area students.
